Reaction Products Affecting the PEFC Catalyst Ink Property

Catalyst ink is a key material of the catalyst layer in proton exchange membrane fuel cell, but can be degraded as reactions alcohols are promoted by Pt ink. The present study quantitatively determined concentrations reaction products an ethanol/water-based ink, and effects these substances on were investigated. acetaldehyde concentration was found to factor, caused particle agglomeration micro-scale crack formation layer.
